Dr. Kris Kowdley

Narrative:
Dr. Kowdley is a practicing hepatologist expert in liver transplantation. His interest in the role of hemochromatosis and the liver led him to organize and open the first Hemochromatosis/Iron Disorders Clinic in the US. He has written extensively about liver transplantation and is respected throughout the world for his work in this field. Dr. Kowdley is a member of the Iron Disorders Institute's Scientific Advisory Board.
Hemochromatosis and Hepatitis C:
Dr. Kris Kowdley presents "Hereditary Hemochromatosis: Ironing Out a Metallic Malady." Hemochromatosis is the most common form of iron overload disease.
