Prad Phatak, M.D.-is Vice Chair of Iron Disorders Institute (IDI) Scientific Advisory Board
and Conference Chair. He will present an introduction to hemochromatosis/iron overload
including tests to confirm diagnosis and treatment for hemochromatosis.

Susan Leitman, M.D.-is principal investigator for the NIH Hemochromatosis Protocol, which is underway at the Warren G. Magnuson Clinical Center, NIH campus. She will present on
Double Red Cell Apheresis (DRCA), a treatment option for patients with classic hemochromatosis.

Kris Kowdley, M.D.-is a member of the IDI Scientific Advisory Board and responsible for the University of Washington, Seattle iron overload clinic. He will discuss
cutting edge technology, a non-invasive way to qualify and quantify liver iron: Ferriscan

Mark Wurster, M.D. -is a member of the IDI Scientific Advisory Board and responsible for the hemochromatosis program at Ohio State University Health Center.
Dr. Wurster will discuss iron avidity, a common phenomenon for hemochromatosis patients.

Heidi Blanck, Ph.D.-is Hemochromatosis Team Leader, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta.
She will discuss the CDC healthcare provider online hemochromatosis training program.

John Beard, Ph.D.-is a member of the IDI Scientific Advisory Board. He will discuss dietary recommendations for different
phases of treatment - induction, treatment, maintenance and for conditions of iron avidity.

Mary Frances Picciano, Ph.D.-Appropriateness of supplementation in
hemochromatosis patients

Gene Weinberg, Ph.D,-is a member of the IDI Scientific Advisory Board and Publications Chair. He will discuss the effects of iron loading on susceptibility and treatment to specific infectious diseases among
hemochromatotics: H. pylori vibrio, yersinia, AID's hepatitis, tuberculosis and arteriosclerosis.

Aran Gordon-is Chairman of IDI's Board of Trustees and a Vice President with T. Rowe Price. Aran will discuss his participation in the Marathon des Sables, a 150-mile footrace in the Sahara Desert. In the 2005 event, Aran finished in the top half of participants who completed the event. He plans to run again in
2006 and will provide highlights of his experience for conference attendees.
