Mission Statement
IDI exists so that people with iron disorders receive an early and accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment and are equipped to live in good health.
Background
IDI is a 501(c) 3 national voluntary health public interest organization,
headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina.

The "flower" illustrates how Iron Disorders Institute functions operationally and how it works collaboratively
with other agencies to assure broad and varied input. Each segment of the "flower" represents a group that
interacts, consults with and contributes significantly to the organization.
IDI StructureCorporate: IDI is headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina and
has three key departments: administrative (executive director, staff, accounting); patient & physician
services and publications. An executive director who reports to the governing board of trustees (BOT)
runs the organization.
